Alright, It’s that time again when we FINALLY have a design that I’ve been dying for. The sunflower tank – is literally everything I want in a tank! If you’d like to skip my post and look at the pattern, you can do that here!

Modest Neck and Arms:
I think that one of my favorite things about this tank is that I can play with my kids without my ‘under things’ falling out or showing. I love that I don’t need to wear a cami under it, and that it is truly a wonderful top on it’s own without any modification.

modest arm tankWhen I was designing this top, modesty was important to me because I want to be a good example for my girls, but also because my girls need something that THEY can wear! Look how classy and modest this is on Miranda!

Lets talk length:
My torso is so long, and I appreciate anything that has a naturally longer rise. This tank pattern is perfect because it not only has a longer ‘tunic’ length, but it has a mid thigh length (my favorite), knee and floor length!

thigh length tank top patternWhen I was designing this pattern, I wanted something that I could wear all winter (tunic/dress), but that I could also make a maxi in the summer (floor). I think that we have it all covered now!

Pockets:
Oh my heart. These pockets are perfectly placed and I LOVE the size. I have a giant iphone that I can’t fit in pockets….except these.

Singing at church can be a challenge if I don’t have a place to put my headset pack! This isn’t a tank….and I DON’T have pockets in this shirt….and I would have LOVED it.

Layer Worthy:
Whether I’m layering with a jacket, cardigan, or a long sleeve underneath, this is a favorite pattern to have in my arsenal! So thankful that it is so versatile.

Alright, so I think that my favorite thing about this tank is the tummy coverage. I love that it’s fitted in the bust and looser on my problem area. There’s nothing worse than being self conscious because of clothing. I love that this top helps me feel confident and beautiful, regardless of my mommy tummy.

Designing sewing patterns is one of my favorite things. It helps me to be creative and ends up giving me something that flatters my figure and helps to boost my confidence. No lie – it’s selfish. Yet, when I hear comments about how beautiful my testers and customers feel, that they FINALLY have something they can wear confidently, my heart simply soars!

I love that it’s giving you the confidence that you need to feel amazing.
