Gifts for Everyone

Knowing that everyone is so so busy for the holidays, choosing a pattern that is fast and easy is essential for gifts!  Now if you are anything like me, I want to give everyone from my kids’ teachers to the mail carrier who delivers all my heavy Amazon packages, something special.  These gifts are a quick way to give to everyone on your list this year!

The Slouchy Beanie hat goes from sizes NB-Adult XXL (head circumference from 14-25″) and is great for anyone on your gift list.  The neat thing about this hat is that it is completely reversible so you get two hats in one!  I can make this hat in about 20 minutes including printing so it’s going to be a go to for me this season.

These adorable Dish and Bowl Covers are perfect for giving this holiday season especially paired with a beautiful bowl or in a cooking inspired gift basket.  I am planning on giving these to the kids’ teachers this year!

Stretch Pocket Belt
The Stretch Pocket Belt is great for the active people on your list this year.  It fits your cell phone perfectly for running or walking.  It’s also makes wonderful practical gifts as well.  I use mine to hold all my sewing clips while I sew, and some of our customers have used this pattern to make fun unique diabetes pump holders.

Sinus Pressure Rice Bag
The Sinus Pressure Rice Bag is perfect for helping clear painful sinus headaches from colds which are more common in the winter months during the holidays and after.  Add some soothing herbs like Lavender or essential oils to make this gift one they won’t forget.

Festive Outfits

No celebration is complete without the festive outfits!  Here is a list of some of our favorite patterns that make wonderful outfits for the holidays.

The Adalynn Dress

The Adalynn Dress
The Adalynn Dress

The Adalynn Dress Collection is an all time bestseller among our customers.  It has our full range of sizes from Newborn to Plus 40W (66″ waist). This simple knit A-line Dress with an optional ruffle is one of my favorites.  The Adalynn dress pattern is a classic design that flatters any figure, young and old.  It is easy, beginner friendly, and quick to sew!  During the Christmas sewing season, quick and easy is what I look for in a pattern!  The best part about this pattern though is that it has POCKETS!  Did I mention that this pattern is also maternity friendly without any modifications?!!  It is so versatile!  The Adalynn Dress is one of our newer patterns so it comes with layers for easy size printing and different file print formats (8.5×11″, A4, and copy shop A0).

My favorite fabrics for this pattern is double brushed polyester, cotton lycra, and rayon spandex.  Some of our team also loves to use stretch velvet and french terry.  The ruffle is also so sweet with lace.

The Relaxed Peplum

The Relaxed Peplum & Joyful Jumper
The Relaxed Peplum

The Relaxed Peplum Collection is a knit pattern that comes in Girl (2T-16) and Women (00-20) sizes.  The Women’s pattern is a top and tunic with lots of options (full circle peplum, a half circle peplum, a gathered peplum, a curved hem peplum, or high/low hem peplum).  The Girl’s pattern is a top, tunic, and knee length dress with a full circle skirt or a gathered peplum (high/low hem and curved hem included).  You can read about all the variations, style tips, and fabric picks in our Lookbook post here.  The Relaxed Peplum has definitely become a favorite of our customers.  This is one of our newer patterns so it comes with layers for easy size printing and all the different file print formats.

My favorite fabrics for this pattern include double brushed polyester, cotton lycra, rayon french terry, liverpool, and stretch velvet

The Joyful Jumper
The Joyful Jumper Collection is a woven fabric pattern and as such it is a great project for beginners.  You can make it with buttons or snaps (my favorite snaps are KAM snaps).  This pattern comes in Baby (NB-24 Month) and Girl (2T-16).  This is one of our newer patterns so it comes with layers for easy size printing and all the different file print formats.  The Joyful Jumper is also reversible which is great for kids and babies alike because if one side gets messy and you are on the go, you can just turn it to the other side and you have a whole new outfit!  The ruffle is optional, but it looks oh so sweet.  You can make it as a top (high/low hem included) or as a dress.  This pattern also has the option for pockets!

The Priscilla Handkerchief Top

The Priscilla Top

The Priscilla Handkerchief Top Collection is one of our newest knit patterns this year and will most definitely help you celebrate in style!  It is another pattern that is size inclusive with sizes Newborn to Plus 40W (69″ hip).  This is the new “classy comfortable” top of the season! You’ll find that the fit is spot on, and that your curves are in all the right places.  Wear it to your next holiday gathering!

My favorite fabrics for this pattern is double brushed polyester, cotton lycra, rayon spandex.  Modal and Cupro which are fabrics that drape beautifully are also in this year and can really dress up an outfit.  I also love this pattern in sweater knits!
