How cute are those Adalynn ruffles!

Welcome to the Mamma Can Do It Festive Friday Series!  We challenged our team to sew up some festive themed patterns for the holidays to inspire you this season.  The best thing is that each Friday leading up to Christmas one or more of these patterns will be on sale each Friday so make sure you are signed up for our newsletter, because you won’t want to miss out!  Check out Week 1 Inspiration here.

This week you will find the Adalynn Dress Collection for 35% off for Friday November 30th only with the code found at the end of this post.  This code does not apply to our pattern bundles.  Each member of our team worked very hard on these inspirational makes so their affiliate links are posted under their pictures.  Mamma Can Do It uses affiliate links to give a percentage of each sale to our hard working team members.  Using these links costs you nothing extra.  So if you see a picture that inspires you or makes you smile and you want to thank them, use the link provided under their picture if you decide to take advantage of this sale.

The Adalynn Dress

An Adalynn Dress made by one of our testers last year. So cute!

Think back on your holiday memories and what do you remember?  Thinking back on my childhood memories, I remember the sounds of laughter, the tastes of all the sweets I could eat, and the smell of candles and baked country ham.  I especially remember the dresses:  colorful and bright in memory.  Something as simple as a Christmas dress, even in my 30’s, can still make me smile and get excited for the holiday fun.  I know I can’t be the only one!

This simple A-line Dress with an optional ruffle is one of my favorites.  The Adalynn dress pattern is a classic design that flatters any figure, young and old.  It is easy, beginner friendly, and quick to sew!  During the Christmas sewing season, quick and easy is what I look for in a pattern!  The best part about this pattern though is that it has POCKETS!  As a Mom of two and one on the way, pockets are the BEST!  Did I mention that this pattern is also maternity friendly without any modifications?!!  It is so versatile!  The Adalynn Dress is one of our newer patterns so it comes with layers for easy size printing, different file print formats (8.5×11″, A4, and copy shop A0), and as always a clear step-by-step picture tutorial.

My favorite fabrics for this pattern is double brushed polyester, cotton lycra, and rayon spandex.  Some of our team also loves to use stretch velvet and french terry.  The ruffle is also so sweet with lace.  See some more inspiration below.
